One World Kids: Crossfit and Krav Maga

One World Bootcamp

  • Boot Camp is a group training program that lasts six weeks. Sessions will include short distance running, full body movements, kettlebell training, core stability, speed and agility drills, and interval training.

    One World Boot Camp is for men and women of all ages and athletic abilities. You don’t have to be in great shape to join One World Boot Camp, but you do need to bring a great attitude, and a willingness to stay motivated to try your best.

Olympic Weightlifting and Power Lifting

  • Olympic lifting is one of the foundational movements in Crossfit, and we will be offering two classes per week to fine tune your technique in both the snatch and clean and jerk. This will be a one-hour session where we will focus on either just the snatch or the clean and jerk and break down these movements into its specific parts to fine tune and reinforce the fundamentals of proper movement. This is a wonderful opportunity to get some constructive criticism on your technique and build your strength to start setting some PRs! Classes are Tuesdays from 7:30pm-9pm, Saturday from 10:30am-12:30am and Sundays from 9am-10:30am. Tuesday and Sunday classes are limited to 8 athletes. Saturday class is limited to 20 athletes. This is free for One World members. Drop in fee for non members is $20.

    Powerlifting is an intense and exciting strength sport that consists of three attempts at maximal weight on three lifts: squat, bench press, and deadlift. As in the sport of Olympic weightlifting, it involves lifting weights in three attempts. It is a true test of muscle strength whereby the athlete challenges themselves with weights which can exceed 3 times their own body weight. Each lift has specific technique that will alter to fit your body’s mobility/flexibility to maximize its potential. As a strength sport, powerlifting utilizes accessory work that is meant to build up your lifts. Training consists of a peaking program that will prepare your body for maximum effort by the end of it. With consistency and hard work, you will watch your numbers and body grow.

 

Core Kickboxing

  • Core Kickboxing with master trainer Alex Dilone. Classes are Monday and Wednesdays with a 50 minute calorie burning session: 9:00am to 9:50am.

    Unlike traditional cardio kickboxing classes where people burn calories by punching and kicking in the air without any strength and stability work, Core kickboxing incorporates proper stretching methods, important core strengthening holds, compound workouts and a selected arrangement of strikes and defensive applications. We will practice some of the basic Krav Maga defensive and offensive moves and cover a wide range of functional full-body exercises. Core Kickboxing will also include the use of kettlebells, medicine balls and elastic bands.

Gymnastics and Yoga: Mind and Body Conditioning

  • Gymnastics are exercises developing or displaying physical strength, flexibility, balance and coordination. The older we get, the more we need to work on these skills. Gymnastics classes are every Wednesdays from 11:00am-Noon.

    Yoga is designed to strengthen and add flexibility to the body and mind through the practice of Yoga. Yoga classes are every Sunday from 10:30am-11:30am

    Both the Gymnastics and Yoga programs are part of your One World membership (Bootcamp, Crossfit, Krav Maga) at NO additional cost.

     

Eskrima

  • Eskrima, aslo known as Arnis and Kali, is the national sport and martial art of the Philippines. The three are roughly interchangeable umbrella terms for the traditional martial arts of the Philippines that emphasize weapon-based fighting with sticks, knives, bladed weapons and various improvised weapons. Eskrima also includes hand-to-hand combat, joint locks, grappling and weapon disarming techniques.

    Guest of One World (non-members) are always encouraged to drop in! The drop-in fee for guest is $15.00.

    We do not have a setup fee. If you are new to Crossfit, we require you to attend the 10- one hour Private Sessions so you can learn the fundamental movements before you can safely participate in a class.
