Gym Rules

One World Self Defense and Fitness designed the Membership Policies (“Policies”) and the rules, including rules listed here and rules posted in the gym (“Rules”) to ensure a safer and more enjoyable environment in which to exercise. One World Self Defense and Fitness may, in its sole discretion, modify the Policies and Rules without notice at any time. It is the responsibility of all members to know and follow the most current Policies and Rules. All approved signs posted in the gym or on the premises shall be considered a part of the Policies and Rules of One World Self Defense and Fitness.

The following Polices and Rules replace all previous Policies and Rules. If there is any conflict between these Policies and the posted Rules, these Policies and Rules apply.

Conduct

We strive to uphold a family-oriented environment. As such, we expect proper and respectful conduct on our premises at all times. We do not permit disrespectful conduct toward our members, guests, trainers and staff, vendors, or property. We will not tolerate bullying, vulgar, profane, indecent, offensive, violent, hostile, aggressive, threatening, harassing, stalking, fraudulent, or other inappropriate conduct or communications. Please speak to your trainer or staff member if you feel someone is not acting appropriately.

VIOLATION OF POLICIES OR RULES

If any member or guest violates any of the Policies or Rules of One World Self-Defense and Fitness, we will ask that person to stop or leave. A member’s violation of any of the Policies or Rules may also cause One World Self-Defense and Fitness, in its sole discretion, to terminate that person’s membership and/or other agreements.

HEALTH AND SAFETY RULES TO HELP GUARD AGAINST COVID-19

Keep a safe social distance from other members and staff. Wipe down any fitness equipment before and after your workouts. If you have been exposed to or had any symptom of COVID-19 in the past 14 days or if you become ill, cancel any class reservations and notify us immediately. Please refer to our Social Distancing Guidelines for details.

BE COURTEOUS

Please treat staff and other members with civility and respect. Do not judge others. Allow everyone the chance to have fun and enjoy the One World family atmosphere.

GENERAL HYGIENE

We expect you to uphold general personal hygiene and refrain from excessive use of scented oils, lotions, colognes, perfumes or other fragrances out of respect for other members and any fragrance or chemical sensitivities.

PROPER ATTIRE

Wear clean clothes and foot wear appropriate for your fitness or self-defense class.

KEEP IT CLEAN

Members are asked to wipe down their equipment before and after the class. Anti-bacterial wipes are available throughout the gym. Our Staff will also be disinfecting the workout area before and after each class session.

BE COURTEOUS

Please treat staff and other members with civility and respect. Do not judge others. Allow everyone the chance to have fun and enjoy the One World family atmosphere.

RECYCLE PLEASE!

Recycle your used water or energy drink bottles. We have several recycling bins throughout the gym for you to practice your throwing aim.

FOOD & DRINK

No liquids except water is allowed in the gym floor. If you need to sip on your energy drink, take it to the front lobby waiting area. Spilled energy drinks are sticky and hard to clean properly without a mop (try mopping a workout floor around people in the middle of a workout!). No glass bottles of any kind please. It is a potential hazard for everyone. Nosh on your energy bar is okay, just pickup any stray crumbs please.

TREAT THE EQUIPMENT LIKE YOU OWN IT

It goes without saying that taking care of the equipment and putting what you use away correctly shows respect for everyone else. We are all striving to keep the equipment in good working order which ensures it will be ready to go when you are.

IF YOU USE IT, PUT IT BACK!

Return weight plates, kettlebells, dumbbells, wallballs, jump ropes, rowers, assault bike, jump boxes and any other equipment you used during the workout back to their designated places.

DO NOT leave dumbbells, kettlebells or equipment you used on the floor after a workout. Pick it up, clean it up and put it back where it belongs!

CELLPHONE USE

Please keep cell phone use to a minimum if you are attending a class. If you need to take a call or answer that urgent email/text, just step away from the class and take care of business in the Lobby.

CHILDREN

Children under the age of 14 are not allowed on the gym floor unless participating in a class. When not participating, children must remain in the lobby under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian. If a child has a sibling in a class, the child is permitted to wait in the classes’ spectator area with the parent or legal guardian.

VISITORS

Visitors must remain in the front lobby unless a Parent or Legal Guardian of a child or minor attending a class. In this instance, the Parent or Legal Guardian is permitted to wait in the classes’ spectator area.

INJURIES

If you are injured while on the premises, please seek immediate assistance from a trainer or staff member. Our trainers and staff can provide basic first aid and arrange for appropriate medical assistance, and complete an incident report. One World Self Defense & Fitness is not responsible for reimbursement of member medical costs, including, but not limited to charges a member may incur for emergency response services, ambulance, etc.

PERSONAL BELONGINGS

Keep large workout bags, backpacks, coats and personal belongings in a locker or in the lobby storage space. Do not bring or store any valuables on the premises, including watches, jewelry or large amounts of cash. OUR STAFF IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR PERSONAL BELONGINGS OF MEMBERS! We cannot hold belongings behind the front business desk.

Check the lost and found bins or at the front desk if you have left something at the gym. Items will be discarded or donated at the end of each calendar month.

VEHICLES

Be sure your vehicle is locked. Do not leave valuables in plain view in your vehicle. We are not liable or responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged personal property, whether from lockers, vehicles or other locations on the premises, in the parking lot or on city streets surrounding the building.

NO PET POLICY

We love our furry companions but we have a no pet policy. Pets are not allowed in the gym. Period!

LICENSED SERVICE ANIMAL EXEMPTION

You may not bring any animal inside the gym unless it is a service animal performing its duties in the care of a person who requires its assistance or is an on-duty law enforcement animal (“exempt animals”). Licensed Service Animals are NOT pets and do not fall under our No Pet Policy.

All exempt service animals must be licensed, vaccinated and have identification tags (where applicable); must remain leashed or caged, and under the owner or guardian’s person’s control at all times; and must be removed immediately if it causes a disturbance, interrupts the work of others or poses a health or safety risk to those who are exposed to it. The service animal’s owner must promptly remove animal waste and is liable for any damage caused by the animal.

WIRELESS NETWORK ACCESS

By accessing One World Self-Defense and Fitness wireless network, you agree not to use the wireless network to transmit any material that violates any applicable laws, rules or regulations or to defame, harm or threaten or attempt to harm other persons, businesses or other entities. You also agree not to use our wireless network to transmit any material that infringes any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret or other proprietary rights of One World Self-Defense and Fitness or any third party. You agree not to violate the security or integrity of our wireless network or to use our network to violate the security or integrity of any other network.

Any such acts may result in the termination of your membership as well as criminal and civil liabilities. Use of this wireless connection is entirely at your risk and One World Self-Defense and Fitness disclaims all liability for loss of confidential information or damages resulting from that loss. We make no promises, representations or warranties of any kind concerning the suitability or security of this service and specifically disclaim all warranties of fitness for a particular purpose of security. The wireless service is provided “As Is.” You will remain connected to the One World Self-Defense and Fitness wireless network until you disconnect and will connect or be asked to connect automatically upon entry into the One World Self-Defense and Fitness wireless network radius.

By using the wireless service, you agree to indemnify us, our officers and agents against all claims, demands, losses, damages, costs and expenses made against or incurred, suffered or sustained arising out of your use of the wireless service and agree that in no event will we be liable for any damages, including but not limited to any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the wireless service. We may block access or terminate the wireless service at any time and for any reason, and assume no liability for doing so. We may record information about your usage of our network and may use or disclose such information, when appropriate, to comply with the law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of One World Self-Defense and Fitness.

Membership Policies

Membership Policies

Your membership provides access to a wealth of knowledge and experience in a competitive but fun, friendly and family style atmosphere.

SERVICE RULE: We reserve the right to refuse service.

EXCEPTIONS: Exceptions are at the sole discretion of One World Barbell Club and One World Self-Defense and Fitness.

MEMBERSHIP HOLD & CANCELLATION POLICY: Membership holds and cancellation policy are governed by One World Self-Defense and Fitness Policy.

Membership Hold Request
  • Membership hold requests must be submitted in written format or e-mail no less than 14 days before your forthcoming scheduled renewal date. Verbal requests for Membership holds or cancellations are not accepted. Cancellation outside the 14 day window is subject to a $75.00 service charge.
  • All membership payments are non-refundable and non-transferable. Membership may be put on hold for a maximum of three months per year.
  • Upon expiration of the hold period that you select below, your account will automatically reactivate and regular membership payments will resume. If you choose to cancel your membership during the hold period, the standard 30-day written cancellation notice requirement stated in your membership agreement is applicable.
  • If you choose to reactivate your membership after it is cancelled, membership rates in effect at the time of reactivation will be applicable (membership rates are subject to change).

Late Payment/Declined Credit Card Fees: Late payment/declined credit card fee of $35 will be charged on any payment past due.

Membership Cancellation Policy

Month to Month Membership:

  • Monthly payments, once billed, are not eligible for cancellation or refund.
  • Once cancelled, members forfeit their current monthly rates as rates are subject to change.

6 Month Membership:

  • 6 month memberships can be put on hold for a maximum of 1 month during a 6 month period.
  • 6 month memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable. A 14 day notice of cancellations or holds must be submitted in written format or by e-mail. Verbal requests for Membership Cancellations are not accepted. Cancellation requests outside the 14 day window is subject to a $75.00 service charge.
    Cancellation requests received after the billing period will not be refunded.

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which One World Self Defense and Fitness and Crossfit One World/ One World Crossfit collects, uses, maintains and discloses information collected from users (each, a “User”) of the www.oneworldsdf.com website (“Site”), www.oneworldcrossfit.com website (“Site”), www.crossfitoneworld.com website (“Site”). This privacy policy applies to the Site and all products and services offered by One World Self Defense and Fitness.

Personal identification information

We may collect personal identification information from Users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when Users visit our site, subscribe to the newsletter, respond to a survey, fill out a form, and in connection with other activities, services, features or resources we make available on our Site. Users may be asked for, as appropriate, name, email address, mailing address, phone number, credit card information. Users may, however, visit our Site anonymously. We will collect personal identification information from Users only if they voluntarily submit such information to us. Users can always refuse to supply personally identification information, except that it may prevent them from engaging in certain Site related activities.

Non-personal identification information

We may collect non-personal identification information about Users whenever they interact with our Site. Non-personal identification information may include the browser name, the type of computer and technical information about Users means of connection to our Site, such as the operating system and the Internet service providers utilized and other similar information.

Web browser cookies

Our Site may use “cookies” to enhance User experience. User’s web browser places cookies on their hard drive for record-keeping purposes and sometimes to track information about them. User may choose to set their web browser to refuse cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If they do so, note that some parts of the Site may not function properly.

How we use collected information

One World Self Defense and Fitness collects and uses Users personal information for the following purposes:

    We may use information in the aggregate to understand how our Users as a group use the services and resources provided on our Site.

  • We continually strive to improve our website offerings based on the information and feedback we receive from you.
  • To improve customer service
  • Your information helps us to more effectively respond to your customer service requests and support needs.
  • To administer a content, promotion, survey or other Site feature
  • To send Users information they agreed to receive about topics we think will be of interest to them.
  • To send periodic emails: The email address Users provide will only be used to respond to their inquiries, and/or other requests or questions. If User decides to opt-in to our mailing list, they will receive emails that may include company news, updates, related product or service information, etc. If at any time the User would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, we include detailed unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email.

How we protect your information

We adopt appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of your personal information, username, password, transaction information and data stored on our Site.

Sharing your personal information

We do not sell, trade, or rent Users personal identification information to others. We may share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any personal identification information regarding visitors and users with our business partners, trusted affiliates and advertisers for the purposes outlined above.We may use third party service providers to help us operate our business and the Site or administer activities on our behalf, such as sending out newsletters or surveys. We may share your information with these third parties for those limited purposes provided that you have given us your permission.

Users may find advertising or other content on our Site that link to the sites and services of our partners, suppliers, advertisers, sponsors, licensors and other third parties. We do not control the content or links that appear on these sites and are not responsible for the practices employed by websites linked to or from our Site. In addition, these sites or services, including their content and links, may be constantly changing. These sites and services may have their own privacy policies and customer service policies. Browsing and interaction on any other website, including websites which have a link to our Site, is subject to that website’s own terms and policies.

Changes to this privacy policy

One World Self Defense and Fitness has the discretion to update this privacy policy at any time. When we do, we will revise the updated date at the bottom of this page. We encourage Users to frequently check this page for any changes to stay informed about how we are helping to protect the personal information we collect. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this privacy policy periodically and become aware of modifications.

Your acceptance of these terms

By using this Site, you signify your acceptance of this policy and terms of service. If you do not agree to this policy, please do not use our Site. Your continued use of the Site following the posting of changes to this policy will be deemed your acceptance of those changes.
