Gymnastics: Hollow Body Holds

The hollow body hold looks so easy -until you do it. 

Being able to hold the hollow body position is a key factor in gymnastics. We’ve all seen the scorpion shaped handstand holds and walks. Being in the hollow body position in the handstand puts you in a stacked position. A scorpion shape puts tremendous stress on the spine -which can lead to severe back pain or injury.
